MEOWJI is a 2025 animated student film I wrote, produced, and directed myself. It was a collaborative effort meant to showcase individual talent while giving complete creative autonomy.

The film is structured as a compilation, featuring short animated segments with a 3-act main storyline implemented throughout. Animators on the team were instructed to create their own short based on a prompt given to them over an 8-month period. Along with being director, I was also responsible for animating the main storyline in its entirety.

Main Storyline

The main storyline of the film is about a cat-like creature named Meowji who sets out on an over-the-top, action-packed adventure to retrieve his stolen food bowl. Below is a sample of the work I did for the film. All the animation was done in blender. I animated a total of 58 shots in about a 2-month period.

Modeling, Texturing and Rigging

Every asset and environment was modeled and textured myself. I also made custom rigs for each asset. Buff Meowji is the only one with an automatically generated rig.
